McMinnville resident and Missouri native John C. Cutrell, 72, was born July 14, 1946 and died June 1 at his residence following an extended illness.

A retired fork truck driver with Carrier Corporation and member of Gath Baptist Church, he was the son of the late E.B. and Rebecca Cox Cutrell.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Cutrell and sister-in-law Sandra Scott.

Mr. Cutrell was married Sept. 26, 1969 to Ann Taylor Cutrell. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Karen Cutrell Pedigo and Hugh (Robin) Cutrell, both of McMinnville,  three grandchildren, Alex Pedigo and Libbie and Clara Cutrell, all of McMinnville, several nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Nettie Cutrell of McMinnville, brothers-in-law Bill Taylor and Bobby Taylor, both of McMinnville, and three sisters-in-law Kathy Seals and Fran (Jamie) Grant both of McMinnville, and Linda Taylor of Alabama.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 3, at High’s Chapel with Rick Stewart officiating.  Burial will follow at Shellsford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. until time of service Monday at High’s. Online condolences may be made at
