Joe Glynn Gribble, 81, a Warren County resident and native, was born June 2, 1937 and passed away Feb. 1 at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness.
He was a retired lineman with Caney Fork Electric and son of the late Myra Grissom Gribble.
Mr. Gribble was married Nov. 28, 1963 to Alta Faye Gribble, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three grandchildren and spouses, Heather (Glenn) Suggs, McKenzie (Caleb) Johnson, and Keaton (Christie) Spillman, four great-grandchildren, Hawkins Suggs, Emery Day Suggs, Hank Johnson and Bailey Spillman, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Phillip and June Gribble of Rock Island, and David and Linda Gribble of Hermitage. A niece and nephew also survive.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at High’s Chapel with Ira Cunningham and Chris Perry to officiate. Interment will follow at New Union Cemetery, Hwy. 30. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Sunday until the time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
