McMinnville resident and Warren County native Joe Brown Garrison, 80, was born Oct. 10, 1932 and died July 25 at Raintree Manor.A retired employee of Carrier Corporation and a member of Central Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Floyd and Etta Rogers Garrison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Charles Garrison; and brother-in-law, Arsey Womack.He was married July 5, 1952 to Frances Cantrell Garrison of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children and spouses, Mike and Nancy Garrison of Viola, Randy and Lisa Garrison of McMinnville, and Debbie and Mark Haley of McMinnville; grandchildren and spouses, Jesse Garrison of Armenia, Ross and Lacy Garrison of Cookeville, Reed Tucker Garrison of McMinnville, Kallie and Tyler Shelton of Fayetteville, Kyle Haley of McMinnville, Tanera and Tom Steagall of Rockvale and great-grandchild Jack Steagall of Rockvale; sister and brother-in-law, Marietta and James Stotts of McMinnville; sister-in-law, Betty Womack of McMinnville; and several nephews.Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in High’s Chapel with Coy Hathcock and Ben Bailey officiating.
