Jimmie Dale Ferrell, 70

McMinnville resident and Woodbury native Jimmie Dale Ferrell, 70, was born April 10, 1944 and died March 11 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville following an extended illness.
A retired employee of Kunkle Foundry in Huntington, Ind., he was the son of the late Hershel Wayne and Georgia Laurine Pack Ferrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Wayne Ferrell.
He was married June 9, 1973 to Evelyn Mae Brooks Ferrell of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmie Howard Ferrell and Waymon Ferrell, both of Indiana, Billy Ray Bateman of McMinnville, Michael Dean Bateman of Springfield, Ind., and Faron Dale and Dawn Ferrell of Huntington, Ind.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ramona Sue Bateman Potts and James of McMinnville, Debbie Lynn Bateman Fields and Craig of Hartford City, Ind., and Jamie Sue Ferrell of McMinnville; 27 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy Marie and Richard Owens of Muncie; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in High’s Chapel with Bobby Pendleton officiating. Burial will follow at Bonham Cemetery in Smithville. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at High’s.
