Jessee Warren Byars, 92, of McMinnville died Jan. 2.
He was an Army veteran who served in World War II and was retired vice president of Southern Woodenware Company
Among those who preceded him in death include his parents, Henry and Ella Byars; and brother, Billy Lloyd Byars.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 73 years, Mae (Burnett) Byars; children, Joyce Phelps (Kenneth), Pat Lee (Billy), Peggy Adamson (Jerry), Debbie Watson (T.J.), and Donald Byars (Yvonne); 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Taylor (Alton).
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Okolona Church of Christ, 6105 Outer Loop, with interment to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff. Friends paid their respects Tuesday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home. www.subfuneralhome.com.
