Jerry Nelson Cantrell, 78, a McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native, was born Dec. 5, 1939 and died Feb. 8 at his residence following a two-month illness. He was a retired self-employed auto mechanic, member of Sunny Hills Baptist Church, and son of the late Duke Verell and Chloe Bell Judkins Cantrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three children, Steven and Terry Cantrell and Anita Rainey; six sisters, Inez Crouch, Irene Davis, Ruby Danley, Judy Hammock, Jeanette Rogers and Joann Ferrell; and three brothers, Dan, Junior and Felix Cantrell.
