Mr. Jerry Lynn Yates, 63, of Fayetteville, formerly of Doyle, died Saturday, Feb. 25, at his residence.He was born Dec. 20, 1953 in Sparta to Bertye Harris Yates and the late Robert Lewis “R.L.” Yates. He had a work career that included a school bus driver for Lincoln County and Fayetteville City Schools, Kroger, real estate, and, most notably, a long career with Frito Lay as a route salesman. He loved the Lord, was strong in his Christian faith, and was a member of Parks City Baptist Church.
