McMinnville resident and Warren County native Jerry Glenn Hester, 75, was born June 2, 1947 and died Oct. 20, 2022 at NHC Healthcare Smithville following an extended illness.  

A farmer and of the Christian faith, he was the son of the late Theodore and Bertie Rhody Hester.  

Mr. Hester was married March 9, 1976 to Irene Pelham Hester of McMinnville.  In additon to his wife, he is survived by three half-sisters and one half-brother;  brother-in-law, Lawton Pelham of McMinnville and many friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to NHC Healthcare of Smithville and Avalon Hospice for their special care of Jerry.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 2p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23 at Bascom Cemetery with Scotty Lawson officiating.  Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday and noon. until 1:30 p.m. Sunday at High’s.
