Jeffrey Leon Hale, 59, of Hahira, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 24, at his residence. 

He was born in Warren County on Nov. 14, 1961 to the late James Nathan Hale and Modene Elrod Hale. Jeff enjoyed spending time with his four loving grandchildren, who called him “Sonny.” He loved to play tennis, drums, and the ukulele. He enjoyed playing board games and was a movie and music buff. He was very artsy, and he often helped his wife, Lisa, with school projects. He was known for his amazing chocolate oatmeal cookies. His favorite meal was breakfast and always enjoyed his daily coffee. He had many friends and was always joking and loved to make his family laugh. He was a hard worker and was always generous and giving. Jeff was loved by all and will be missed dearly. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lisa Boyd Hale of Hahira, son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Becky Hale of Jacksonville, Fla., son and daughter-in-law Chad and Della Hale of Conway, AR, four grandchildren, Lily, Evie, Jovie, and Finn Hale, all of Conway, AR, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Karen Hale, David and Brenda Hale, all of McMinnville, sister Debbie Hale of McMinnville, nephew Nathan Hale of McMinnville, two nieces, Bethany Hale and Jennifer Hale, both of McMinnville, brother-in-law Tommy Boyd of McMinnville, and his pet, Frances The Cat.

A memorial service will be held Monday, Nov. 1, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Highland Church of Christ, 1421 Highland Road, McMinnville, TN 37110. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.
