McMinnville resident and Warren County native Jason “Buddha” Clayton, 40, was born Feb. 1, 1979 and died May 7 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville following a sudden illness.

A cook with Applebee's in McMinnville, he was the son of Tina Nunley of McMinnville. He was married Oct. 16, 2004 to Amanda Christine Rackley Clayton of McMinnville. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by daughter, Alexis Ann Rhea of McMinnville; three aunts and spouses, Arlene and William Shockley of Spencer, Wanda and Jeremy Davis of McMinnville, and Darlene Prater of McMinnville; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Billie Thaxton Smith; and close friend, Jeffery Millraney.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at High's Chapel with Steve Breedlove officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of service Saturday at High's. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
