Mr. James McBride “Sleepy” Martin, 72, of McMinnville died Thursday, June 5, at his residence. He was born Aug. 31, 1941 in Coffee County, was a retired press operator with Carrier, and a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by parents Gilbert and Ida Mae Tosh Martin, sister Nina Mae Martin, and brother Richard Douglas Martin.Survivors include his wife Deborah Martin, stepson Jason (Suzanne) Haley, step-grandchildren Brandon and Hailey Cooper, sisters Margaret Ann (Larry) Abston and Gladys Pike, brothers Robert Martin and G.A. (Kathy) Martin, mother-in-law Roselee Smithers, and sisters-in-law Virginia (James) Fishel, Christeen (John) Kaylor, and Janette Martin.
