James Lewis Freeman, 62

Knoxville resident and Warren County native James Lewis Freeman, 62, was born June 7, 1948 and died May 2 at Mercy Health St. Mary’s in Knoxville following an extended illness.A retired truck driver with Watkins Motor Lines and member of Calvary Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Charles Lewis and Clara May Rogers Freeman. He was married Nov. 1, 1975 to Cheryl Annette Southard Freeman, who preceded him in death March 16.He is survived by three children and their spouses, John and Nicole Freeman of Manchester, Josh and Brandy Freeman of Maryville, and Courtney Freeman of Knoxville; four grandchildren, Ashley, Kayla, Michael and Zack; sister and brother-in-law, Dianne and Joe Hartman of Murfreesboro and several nephews.Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at High’s Chapel with Dan Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
