McMinnville resident and Warren County native James Houston Jennings, 79, was born Oct. 22, 1943 and died Sept. 12, 2023 at Willow Branch Health and Rehabilitation in McMinnville following an extended illness.
A retired nurseryman, retired boiler operator with Cumberland Lumber Company and of the Pentecostal faith, he was the son of the late James and Beulah Jennings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Paulette Basham; brother, Teddy Ray Jennings and grandson, Brian Jennings.
Mr. Jennings is survived by children, James A. Jennings, Tracy D. Jennings, Jamie S. Jennings and Stacy Jennings, all of McMinnville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Jessie (Delores) Jennings of McMinnville; brother-in-law, John A. Basham of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14 at Shellsford Cemetery in Warren County with Jason Nunley officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at High Funeral Home.
