James Beacham May, 72, of McMinnville died Sunday, April 1, at his residence. He was born Jan. 8, 1940, in Jackson, Miss., was a retired truck driver, a U.S. Army veteran, and a Baptist. Mr. May was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Beacham and Geneva Cowart May.Survivors include his wife, Kathy May of McMinnville; stepchildren, Dana Tarrant, Tacoma, Washington, and Jeffery Tarrant of Grand Junction, Colo., step-grandchildren Alex Harris, Dayton Harris, and Nicole Tarrant; brother Ronnie May of Brandon, Miss.; sisters, Linda Clay of Houston, Texas, and Marilyn Bailey of Brandon, Miss., and an uncle, Rex Cowart of Summit, Miss.
