J.W. Dodd, 86, of McMinnville (Centertown community) died Monday, April 18 at his residence. He was born Feb. 17, 1925, in Warren County, was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, member of Charles Creek The Baptist Church and a 50-year member of Warren Lodge No. 125 F&AM.Mr. Dodd was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward and Mary Jane (Holder) Dodd; son Mark Dodd; sisters Bobby Jean Trusty and Dorothy June (Dot) Brock; brothers Charles, Willie James, Bluford, and Russell Dodd.He is survived by his wife of 64 years Marion (Holder) Dodd; daughters, Donna Dodd and Kay Dodd; granddaughter Maurie Brady Rambo; great-grandson Gage Rambo, all of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law Linda and (Carl) Locke of Atlanta, Ga.; and brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and (Pinkey) Dodd of McMinnville.
