Hillsboro resident and Warren County native Irene Womack Simpson, 95, was born Feb. 6, 1919 and died March 13 at United Regional Medical Center in Manchester.A homemaker and a member of Rockliff Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late George and Carrie Wagner Womack. She was married to Delbert Wayne Simpson, who preceded her in death Jan. 26, 2005. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Everette and Morris Womack; and sister, Dorothy Emery.She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Suzette and Marvin Owensby of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Matthew Owensby and Andy Owensby, both of Hillsboro, and Amy Bates and husband Brian of Clarksville; and one great-grandchild, Palmer Bates of Clarksville.Funeral service was Saturday at High’s Chapel with Alan Adams officiating.
