McMinnville resident and Warren County native Ida Bell Jones, 103, was born June 9, 1909 and died Jan. 1 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.A homemaker and member of Smyrna Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late John and Maggie Cagle McCormick. She was married to Noah B. Jones, who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Howard and Charles Jones; grandson, David Jones; three brothers, Joe, Bob and H.D. McCormick and four sisters, Amanda McCormick, Mary Green, Ella McCormick and Edna Turner.She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Oma Jean Jones of McMinnville; granddaughter, Cheryl (Steven) Jones of McMinnville; grandson, Mike “Bone” (Nancy) Jones of McMinnville; great-grandchildren, Shae (Robbie) Cantrell, Andrea Jones, Cydney (David) Langford and Nicholas Jones all of McMinnville and Matthew (Emily) Jones of Cleveland; six great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7 in High’s Chapel with Paul Prince and Donald Jones officiating.
