McMinnville resident and Warren County native Huston Perry Boyd, 85, was born Oct. 8, 1926 and died Dec. 20 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness.A retired supervisor with Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Columbus, Ohio, and member of the Presbyterian Church, he was the son of the late Earnest Huston and Lora Stewart Boyd.He was married to Florence Ramsey Boyd of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers-in-law, Floyd “Joe” Gambrell of McMinnville and Reeder B. Ramsey Jr., of Muncie, Ind.; sisters-in-law, Ruth Ramsey of McMinnville, Kathleen R. Smith of Rock Face, Ga., and Lucy Ramsey of Nashville; nephews, Boyd Ramsey of McMinnville and Kelly Thaxton of Quebeck, and several other out-of-town nieces and nephews.A graveside service and interment was held Thursday at Bascom Cemetery with Byron Chambers officiating.High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.Southern Standard (McMinnville, Tenn.)
