Mr. Howard Eugene “Gene” McMahan, 78, of McMinnville, died Monday, March 20, 2023 at Ascension St. Thomas River Park Hospital. He was born Dec. 27, 1944, in McMinnville, was a retired truck driver and a member of Highland Church of Christ. Mr. McMahan was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Houston and Lucy Pauline McAfee McMahan; wife of 58 years, Patsy Jane Stewart McMahan; step mother, Grace McMahan; brothers-in-law, Earl Whitlock, Sherman Morris and Ernie Russell; and sister-in-law, Vella Doris McMahan.

Survivors include his daughter, Gena Lance; granddaughters, Amanda Lance and Mila (Ken) Hathcock; great grandsons, Hunter Fish and Bentlee Martinez; sisters, Patsy Whitlock, Pinkey (Tommy) Dodd, Billie Russell, Nancy (Tony) Davis and Ellen (Terry) Murray; brothers, Paul McMahan, Richard (Tena) McMahan and Waymon McMahan; step brother, Homer (Mary) Wilson; and special friends, Ronny and Linda Huff.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Rickey Burks will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. The McMahan Family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Warren County Animal Shelter.
