Howard Earl Mayberry, 56, of Smithville died Wednesday night at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He was of the Church of Christ faith and was formerly a maintenance technician. Mr. Mayberry was also a U.S. Marines veteran serving 13 years. The family has chosen direct cremation, however a celebration of life service will be held at a later time. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Earl Mayberry.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Mayberry of Smithville; two sons, Matthew and wife Morgan Mayberry of Arizona, and Mark Mayberry of South Carolina; daughter, Jessica and husband Travis Fannin of South Carolina; stepchildren, Tina and husband Daniel Hoxie of South Carolina, Allison and husband Barry Pryor of California, and James Teuteberg of Smithville; six grandchildren; mother Joyce R. Johnson Mayberry of Smithville; sister, Patricia and husband Terry Fisher of Tennessee; brother, Edward and wife Renee Mayberry of North Carolina.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home of Smithville is in charge of arrangements.
