Henry C. Hickey, 79, died Saturday, May 11. 
He was born on July 23, 1933 in Silver Point and was the son of the late Sam and Alma Carter Hickey.
Mr. Hickey is survived by his wife, Georgia M. Ortman Hickey of Gassaway; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Steve Higgins of Woodbury; son, Johnny L. Hickey of Gassaway; two grandsons, clint and Brandi Higgins and Devon L. Hickey; two great-grandchildren, Kole and Kennedi Higgins; siblings, Dorothy (George) Allen of Algood, Arthur (Buna) Hickey of Cookeville, Clara Fox of Gainesboro, Alberta Garwood of Murfreesboro, Sammy (Thelma) Hickey of Smithville, Donnie (Betty) Hickey of Smithville, Annie (Jessie) Flatt of Baxter, and Joyce Bird of West Jefferson, Ohio. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by four siblings, Charlie Hickey, Johnnie Hickey, Irma Johnson, and Geneva Garwood.
Mr. Hickey retired from Carrier Corporation and was a farmer and a member of the Baptist Church. He loved farming and working his mules.
Funeral service was Tuesday, May 14, at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Hancock officiating. Burial followed at Beech Hill Cemetery.
Woodbury Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
