Helen M. Butcher, 66, a McMinnville resident and Viola native died Friday at her residence following a sudden illness.She was a former employee of Gardner Manufacturing, member of Smyrna Church of Christ and daughter of the late Dorothy Irene Myers McBride and James Fults.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Billy Carl Butcher March 29 2010; daughter, Kathy Butcher; brother, Raymond McBride; sisters, Shirley Matheny and Mildred Daisy McBride; brothers-in-law, Hershel Perry, Rance Anderson and Jim Butcher; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Howard and Irene Butcher.Mrs. Butcher is survived by daughter and fiancée, Karen Holland and John Cox of McMinnville; son and fiancée, Gregory C. Butcher, Sr. and Tina Fults of McMinnville; eight grandchildren, Gregory Butcher, Jr., Phillip Holland, Jr., Billy Holland, Kara Butcher, James Butcher, Braxton Cox, Sophia Butcher, and Zachary Gillentine all of McMinnville; two like unto daughters, Tammy Hughes and Sherrie Hammond; four brothers, Clinton McBride of Michigan; Buddy (Brenda) McBride, Alabama; Gary (Kay) Willis and Ricky (Mary) Willis of McMinnville; brother-in-law, Danny Matheny, McMinnville; sister-in-law, Marcie McBride, Viola; aunt, Georgie Baldwin; uncle, Arthur Lee Myers, McMinnville; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Bud (Barbara) Butcher and Willard (Betty Jean) Butcher of McMinnville; sisters-in-law, Jean Anderson, Murfreesboro and Brenda Perry, McMinnville.Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday in High's Chapel with Jonathan Stubblefield to officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday until time of service at High's.High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Southern Standard (McMinnville, Tenn.)
