Helen Faye Hickey, 80

 Helen Faye Hickey, 80, a McMinnville resident and Overton County native was born Sept. 30, 1937 and died Dec. 8 at her residence following an extended illness.

 She was a member of Westwood Church of Christ where she taught kindergarten and Sunday school for 42 years. She loved spending all of her time with her children. Mrs. Hickey was the daughter of the late Ernest and Anna Mae Gore Masters. She was married Dec. 23, 1961 to Jack Hickey, who preceded her in death June 18, 2009. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother Douglas Masters.

 Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Sherry Hickey and Richard and Melanie Hickey, all of Nashville; three nieces, Dee Higgenbotham of Cookeville, Renee Hatcher of Raleigh, N.C., and Karen Masters of Washington; and nephew, Mark Masters of Texas.

 Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, at Westwood Church of Christ with Richard O’Connor and Bob Deason to officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 1:15 p.m. Sunday at High’s. Memorial donations may be made to Westwood Belles, Westwood Day School or Hamilton Street Activity Center.
