Hassie M. Green, 103, of Nashville passed from this life on Monday, Dec. 26 at her residence of an extended illness.Mrs. Green was born in McMinnville on Sept. 8, 1908, the daughter of the late Mary J. (Hennessee) and Samuel T. Gibbs. She was a member of the Church of Christ and she worked as a Homemaker.She is survived by two daughters, Grace J. Denton, of Nashville; Mary E. Green, of Nashville; two sons Billy E. Green, of Nashville and Bobby J. Green, of McMinnville; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.Mrs. Green is preceded in death by husband, Claude L. Green, parents, Samuel and Mary (Hennessee) Gibbs, one son, Charles E. Green, one step-daughter, Lora L (Green) Whitman; one granddaughter, one grandson, one great-granddaughter, two great-grandsons, one great-great-grandson, two sisters, one brother, two halfsisters, two half brothers.Family will receive friends today from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Gardens Of Memory Funeral Home and on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. the time of the service at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home Chapel.Funeral services will be held at the Gardens of Memory Funeral Home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with Danny Barnes officiating.
