Mr. Harry Quinton Prater Sr., 69, of McMinnville died Sunday, July 29, at NHC Health Care in McMinnville.

He was born Aug. 3, 1948, in McMinnville, was a retired EMT with an ambulance service and was preceded in death by parents Albert and Bonnie Perry Prater, son-in-law Jack Moody, sister-in-law Libby Prater, and brother-in-law Jerry Cantrell.

Survivors include his children Alisa Moody, Lynn Jones with Todd Grider, Harry (Lora) Prater Jr., Jacob Smith, and Joshua Smith, grandchildren Corey (Atlanta) Cantrell, Marina (Daniel) Taylor, Tallie Moody, Breydon Jones, Bailey Jones, Harry Prater III, Jared Prater, Landon Prater, and Chloe Prater, great-grandchildren Ariel Cantrell, Trace Taylor, Trathan Taylor, and Rayna Prater, sister Treva Cantrell, brothers Elzie (Une) Prater, Oliver Prater, Mason (Joy) Prater, Howell (Melissa) Prater, Leonard Prater, and Duane (Sharon) Prater. Many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.

A graveside service and interment will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Center Hill Cemetery at Hills Creek. Bro. Charlie Keener will officiate. The Prater family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 p.m. noon to 3 p.m. at Center Hill Cemetery at Hills Creek. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
