McMinnville resident and Van Buren County native Gordon Eugene Hennessee, 75, was born June 28, 1937 and died unexpectedly Feb. 4 at his residence..A retired salesman with Avalon Dairies, Frito-Lay and Life of Georgia Insurance Company, United States Army veteran and member of Arlington Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Hobert and Iris Craig Hennessee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Peggy Joann Hennessee.Mr. Hennessee was married Oct. 24, 1958 to Reba Nell Jones Hennessee of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children and their spouses, Karan and Kerry Crowe of Bristow, Va., Brad and Renee Hennessee of Smithville, Kevin Hennessee and Heather Culbreath of Smyrna, and Stacy and Amanda Hennessee of McMinnville; six grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Kelly and Jewell Hennessee of the Rocky River community; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Winston and Nellie Jones of Dibrell; sister-in-law, Dean Edge of Smithville, and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in High’s Chapel with Stan Stevenson officiating.
