Morrison resident and Cannon County native Gladys Young Prater, 85, was born May 17, 1930 and died Dec. 18 at Raintree Manor following an extended illness. Retired from McMinnville Garment Company and a member of Morrison Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Houston and Hester Parker Young. She was married June 27, 1949 to Bobby Lloyd Prater, who preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 2011.
