Mrs. Gladys Jones Womack, 87, of McMinnville (Lucky community) died Saturday, April 26, at her residence.
She was born March 12, 1927, in Warren County, was a retired factory worker, a homemaker, in the home demonstration club, and a longtime member of Charles Creek The Baptist Church. Her hobbies included singing, quilting, flowers, gardening, reading, traveling, cooking, and family and friends.
Mrs. Womack was preceded in death by parents Noah Elmer and Louvada Bain Jones, husband Carl Wilburn Womack, sons Carl Michael Womack and Stephen Randall (Beth) Womack, and brothers Johnny and Claude Jones.
Survivors include her daughters Sylvia (Ken) Stewart, Reba (Kenneth) Bond, and Lisa Womack, daughter-in-law Deborah Womack, grandchildren Kristy (Sergio) Reyes, Darren Womack, Felicia (Sam) Young, Adrian Womack, Gabriel Womack, Holly (Lucus) Kraus, Destiny Womack, Kelvin (Jennifer) Bond, Derick (Shellon) Bond, Vanessa (Drew) Walker, Travis Bond, Amanda Bond, Lindsay (Kerry) Mayes, Andy Smith, Kami Ward, and Vada Smith, and 38 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Charles Creek The Baptist Church. Elder Cecil VanWinkle and Elder Nick Pelham will officiate. Interment will follow at Charles Creek Cemetery. The Womack Family will receive friends Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Charles Creek The Baptist Church. Online condolences may be made at
