Gladys Bouldin Blanks, 85, a Hamilton County resident and Warren County native, was born Oct. 12, 1934 and passed away Oct. 15 at her residence following an extended illness.
She was retired from DuPont, a member of North Hamilton Church of Christ, and the daughter of the late Everett and Cleo Kell Bouldin.
She was married Feb. 20, 1953 to John Blanks, who survives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, A.P., Winford, James, and D.L. Bouldin, brothers-in-law Jack Smithson and Lon Blanks, and sisters-in-law Sandra Bouldin and Zada Jo Bouldin.
Mrs. Blanks is survived by sister Bessie Bouldin Smithson of Morrison, brother and sister-in-law Carl G (Marcia) Bouldin of Viola, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Eva Sue Bouldin and Christine Bouldin of the Vervilla community, Beth Bouldin of Viola, Jimmie Blanks of Birmingham, Ala., Nancy (Bobby) Lusk of McMinnville, and Daisy Maxwell of McMinnville. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at High’s Chapel with David Smith and Joel Laney officiating. Burial will follow at Bascom Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at High’s Funeral Home.
