Ginger Lee McDowell, 74, died at her resident on Wednesday, Nov. 29, after a three-year battle with cancer.
She was born Aug. 2, 1943 in Antigo, Wis. She was retired from A.O. Smith in McMinnville. She loved to be outside in the yard.
She was preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Avis Stengl, husband E.L. McDowell on Dec. 3, 2013, and Rodney McDowell on June 24, 2009.
Survivors include daughters, Brenda (Garry) Murphy and Debbie McDowell, both of McMinnville; two grandsons, Michael McDowell, Justin McDowell and fiancé Kayla Collins, all from McMinnville. Ginger has a great-granddaughter, Kaydence McDowell and Khloe McDowell due this month.
Other survivors include her brother, John (Nancy) Stengl of Wisconsin; sister, Jeannie (Dan) Wheeler of Wisconsin; sister, Jennifer (Gary) Steele of Wisconsin and sister, Audrey Stengl of Dallas, Texas; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be a memorial service Saturday, Dec. 9 at Viola Church of Christ at 2 p.m. Mom and Dad both donated their bodies to the Vanderbilt University Anatomical Donation Program.
