McMinnville resident and Warren County native, Gerald Jakie Wanamaker, 78, was born April 23, 1933 and died Feb. 22 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A self-employed nurseryman, a United States Army veteran of Korea, and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Sidney and Zada Bell Coppinger Wanamaker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Gilbert Wanamaker and Carl Cantrell Wanamaker.
