Algood resident and Grundy County native Georgie Lee McBride, 86, was born Aug. 7, 1928 and died Feb. 13 at Signature Healthcare of Putnam County in Algood following a brief illness. A homemaker and of the Baptist faith, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Martha Killian Scott. She was married to Dillard McBride who preceded her in death May 4, 1996.
