Algood resident and Grundy County native Georgie Lee McBride, 86, was born Aug. 7, 1928 and died Feb. 13 at Signature Healthcare of Putnam County in Algood following a brief illness.
A homemaker and of the Baptist faith, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Martha Killian Scott. She was married to Dillard McBride who preceded her in death May 4, 1996.
She is survived by daughter, Wilma Reeder of Buffalo Valley; two granddaughters, Krista McBride (Crystal King) of Cookeville and Ashley (Mustafa) Kabakci of Buffalo Valley; one great-granddaughter, Macy Aubrey; and special friends, Tamika Parker, Makayla Clark and Bill Combs.
A graveside service and interment was held Saturday in Friendship Cemetery. Terry Pease officiated.
High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
