George Marvin Curtis, 91

McMinnville resident and Dekalb County native George Marvin Curtis, 91, was born Aug. 13, 1929 and died July 10 at his residence following an extended illness.    

A veteran of the United States Army National Guard, farmer, and retired assembly worker from Carrier, he was the son of the late Alvie Thomas and Jody Ava Driver Curtis. He was married to Helen Juanita Lynn of McMinnville on Sept. 4, 1948. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvie Thomas and James Howard, and two sisters, Ruffene Dunham and Grady Dale Brown.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Curtis is survived by two sons, Jimmy and Randy Curtis, both of McMinnville.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 11, at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Warren County. Friends and family will meet at the cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
