George Krause Doyle, 82, of Rock Island died Wednesday, Oct. 5, at his residence. He was born Nov. 24, 1928, in Hamilton County and retired as a draftsman from AEDC, continued to work part time after retiring at Crossville’s Boats & Harbors publication, was a member of First United Methodist Church of Manchester, and a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Doyle was preceded in death by parents George Crawford and Sara Krause Doyle.Survivors include wife Peggy Doyle of Rock Island; son and daughter-in-law, Russ and Alaina Doyle of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Chip Jones of Rock Island; and grandchildren, Zach Doyle and Abi Doyle of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Hayden Jones, Griffin Jones, and Eli Jones of Rock Island.Memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
