Burlington, N.C., resident and DeKalb County native Geneva Dale Potter, 93, was born Feb. 10, 1921 and died April 6 at Hospice House of Alamance-Caswell in Burlington, N.C., following an extended illness. An associate professor of home economics at the University of Tennessee and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Mason Potter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mimi Walton and Evelyn Edwards.Ms. Potter is survived by two great-nephews, Alan (Julie) Hardcastle of Fairview, and Michael (Laura) Hardcastle of Burlington, N.C.; great-great-niece, Hannah Hardcastle; great-great-nephew, Alex Hardcastle and nephew by marriage, Brown Hardcastle of McMinnville.A graveside service and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mt.
