Gene Roberts, 64, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born June 20, 1956 and died Jan. 28 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness.

He was a technician with Federal Mogul, a member of the Church of Christ, and the son of the late James Walter and Elizabeth Lee Smartt Roberts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Charlie Roberts.

Mr. Roberts is survived by wife, Judy Ann Boren Roberts of McMinnville, daughter Michelle Fults of McMinnville, grandchildren Dakota, Dustin, and Lexie Davenport, two stepchildren Tara (Jeff) Robertson, and Jason D. Rankhorn, step-grandson Asa Robertson, sister Kennie Sue (Bobby) Allen, all of McMinnville, two nephews, Jamie (Paula) Glenn of Anderson, Ind., and Jason (Crystal) Glenn of Springfield, Va., and close friend Wade Sparkman.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, at Hebron Cemetery in Warren County with Mark Parkhurst officiating. Friends are to meet at cemetery. No visitation will be held at High’s. Online condolences may be made at
