McMinnville resident and Warren County native Genay L. Evans Keener, 50, was born Jan. 20, 1973 and died March 10, 2023 at her residence following an extended illness.           

A machine operator and member of the Baptist church, she was the daughter of David Brady and Helen Evans Byars, both of McMinnville. She was preceded in death by son, Justin Evans and niece, Zamirah Locke.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Keener is survived by three sons, Derek Keener, Tyler Keener (Justyce) and Kolby Keener; grandchildren, Lakelyn Shena Keener and Kaden Jennings; two sisters, Christy Locke and Trina Watson, both of McMinnville and nephews, Christian Locke and Zaccheaus Locke.

Graveside service and interment was held at 3p.m., Tuesday March 14 at Shellsford Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation was Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at High’s.
