Gary Wayne Gribble, 69

Kingsport, Tenn., resident and McMinnville native Gary Wayne Gribble was born April 30, 1952 and died Jan. 8 at his residence following an extended illness.

A retired family practice physician and Air Force veteran, he was the son of the late J.B. Gribble. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Wayne Gribble.

He was married March 26, 1971 to Teresa Brewer Gribble, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Christine Fisher Gribble of McMinnville, one daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Jason Joyner of Mt. Carmel, Tenn., one granddaughter Emmerson Joyner, also of Mt. Carmel, one sister and brother-in-law, Donna and James Goolsby of McMinnville, one brother, Ronnie Gribble of Manchester, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside service and interment were held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County with Tony Lawrence officiating. No service or visitation was held at High’s. Family and friends met at the cemetery.
