Everett Leon Coldwell, 77, of McMinnville passed from this life Sunday, Dec. 9, at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital.
Everett was born Friday, Oct. 3, 1941 in Whitwell, the son of the late Leonard Coldwell and the late Wilmoth Pauline Levan Coldwell. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he is survived by two sons James Coldwell and wife Fredia, and Leonard Coldwell, grandchildren Shelby and Adam Murphy, Torie Coldwell, Taylor Coldwell, Hunter Black and Hayden Black, great-grandson Lukas Murphy, two brothers Robert Wayne Coldwell and Clyde Ewing Coldwell, sister Janice Coldwell Farless, former wife Mary Coldwell, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In additon to his parents, Everett was preceded in death by his two brothers, Glenn Ivan Coldwell and Lindley Coldwell.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Brad Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, and again Thursday from 8 to 11 a.m. at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home. Veteran honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
