Mrs. Eva Odell Underhill, 93, of McMinnville died Tuesday, March 19, at St. Thomas River Park Hospital.
She was born July 11, 1925, in DeKalb County, worked at the Levi manufacturing plant, and was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church. Mrs. Underhill was preceded in death by her parents Reps Allen and Eula Anderson Parker, daughter Mary Jane Underhill, grandchildren Lalaina Bryant and Katelyn Underhill, and siblings Shield Parker, Burle Parker, Willie Pearl Jones, Carrie Bell Crips, Marvin Parker, Clyde Parker, Robert “Pete” Parker, and Reps Allen Parker Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 76 years Jim Bratten Underhill, children Dwight (Sue) Underhill, Michael (Brenda) Underhill, Vicky Crouch, and Terry Underhill (Lynn Pierce), nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Bobby Pennington will officiate. Interment will follow at Hale Cemetery in the Pea Ridge community. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., and again Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
