McMinnville resident and Warren County native Eugene Rutledge Jr., 75, died unexpectedly Aug. 10 at St. Thomas Hospital.A self-employed logger and a member of Laurel Creek Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Eugene and Iris Lucille McCormick Rutledge Sr., and was preceded in death by sister, Shirley Armstrong and brother, Jerry Rutledge.He is survived by brothers, Billy Rutledge and George Edward Rutledge, both of McMinnville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janice and Gerald Rowland, Patricia and Fred Ticer, all of McMinnville, Kathleen Randolph of Sparta, Ruby and Harry Cole of Walling, Linda and Donald Huffman of Swansboro, N.C.; several nieces, nephews, great-niece and great-nephews.Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at High’s Chapel with Roy Terry officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery.
