McMinnville resident and Putnam County native Esther Myrl Lee, 93, was born July 18, 1923 and died July 16 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness.A homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God, she was the daughter of the late John Frank and Millie Dickerson Malone. She was married to Rev. Charles O. Lee, who preceded her in death Oct. 14, 2007.She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Jimmy Ray and Louise Lee of Chattanooga and Rev. Sammy Charles and Brenda Lee of McMinnville; daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Gary Workman of Chattanooga; five grandchildren, Charles Edward Lee, Jeffery Dewayne Lee, Angela Michelle Chisam, Michael Charles Lee and Jennifer Louise Steele Hutzel; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ina Morgan of Detroit, Mich., and Johnnie Thomas of Cookeville. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 20, at First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Billy Meeks and Rev. Glen Burks officiating.
