McMinnville resident and Warren County native Ernest L. “Babe” Paris, 85, died March 15 at his home after an extended illness.A retired mechanic and a member of Woods Church of Christ, he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.The son of the late Ernest M. and Clarita Jones Paris, he is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ernie and Rose Paris of Nashville; daughter, Libby McGuire of Texas; seven grandchildren, Jennifer and Jeremy Paris, Adam Barnes, Cole and Sam McGuire, Sandy and Randy Hosein; great-grandchildren, Timothy, Johnathan, David and Jada Hosein, Justin Wilson and Hudson McGuire; brother and sister-in-law, Franklin and Edna Paris of McMinnville; sister, Dorcas Shackleford of Madison; several nieces and nephews.Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Blues Hill Cemetery with Dr. Eben Gilbert officiating.
