Ernest Eugene Hubbard, 77, of McMinnville died Sunday, Feb. 12, at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
He was born Nov. 3, 1934, in Barbourville, Ky., was a retired machinist, and attended Cumberland Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Hubbard was preceded in death by his parents Nevel and Hazel June Bowling Hubbard, his sisters Lillie Hubbard and Susie Lynn Bowdoin, and his brothers Lonnie, Arvle, and Ancil Hubbard.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Martha Eversole Hubbard, their children, Scytha (Paul) Vaughn, Michael (Michele) Hubbard, and Randall (Dusti) Hubbard, all of McMinnville; sisters, Lula (Bill) Thomas of Duluth, Ga., Anna (Bill) Cooke, Kathy (Jerry) Merritt, Tammy (David) Orrick, all of McMinnville; and brother Joe (Sherry) Hubbard of Paragould, Ark.; grandchildren, Danny Lee (Marsha) Riggs, Kimberly Riggs, Tyler Hubbard, Jakob Fann, Kayla Hubbard, Kristin (Corey) Warden, Haley Brooke Hubbard, Holly and Jared Cherry, Scytha Jean Hubbard, Jacob Lee Hubbard, and Gracie Hubbard; and great-grandchildren Ethan Cherry, Abigail Fann, and Liam Warden. Many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. today at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bill Eversole and Dennis Deweese will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
