Emanuel O. Brewer, 82

Emanuel O. Brewer, 82, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born Dec. 26, 1937 and passed away Feb. 28 at NHC McMinnville following a brief illness.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam, a retired maintenance coordinator with Caney Fork Electric Cooperative, a member of Central Church of Christ, and the son of the late Arnold Matt and Frances Scott Brewer Sr. He was also preceded in death by brother Arnold Brewer Jr., sister Mildred Bailey and three nephews, Major Edward Bailey, Matt Brewer, and William Brewer.

He was married to Mary Jo Rigsby Brewer on Sept. 15, 1963. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law Kristie and Bill Rogers of McMinnville, grandson Slayden (Katie) Rogers of McMinnville, great-grandchildren Maggie Mae Rogers and Maddux Slayden Rogers, nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Graveside service will be 4 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at Mt. View Cemetery with Ben Bailey officiating. Military grave rites will be conducted by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at High’s Parlor.
