Elmer Martin Jr., 67

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Elmer Martin Jr., was born to the late Elmer and Marjorie Martin on June 11, 1947 and departed this life Dec. 1. He was 67.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Martin and Clarence Martin; and sister, Marjorie Ann Martin.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, a devoted wife, Veleria Martin of McMinnville; two daughters, Lucretia Martin and Denicia Martin, both of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Tianna Lusk, Adrien Lusk, Joslyn Lusk and Sutton Martin, all of McMinnville; one great-grandson, Braylen Carter of McMinnville; three sisters, Betty Jo Martin, Carol (Harold) Thomas, and Jacqueline Cabell, all of McMinnville; two brothers, Gregory Martin and Danny (Terri) Martin, all of McMinnville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Elmer was a member of East End Drive Church of Christ. He had a passion for baseball and fishing. He graduated from Bernard High School in 1964, and was valedictorian of his class.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in High’s Chapel with George King officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery at Martin Charge. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at High’s.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
