Elbert Ray Thomison, 85, of McMinnville passed from this life on Friday, Aug. 28, at Raintree Manor in McMinnville.

Ray was born Monday, Jan. 7, 1935 in Rocky River, the son of the late James Thomison and the late Della Hillis Thomison. Ray was a member of the Church of Christ.

Ray is survived by his son Jamie Thomison, three sisters Joyce Rowland, Linda Hale and husband Ray, Betty DeArmond and husband Jimmy, and daughter-in-law Vicky Bryant. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife Rose Marie Thomison, and two brothers James Thomison and Glen Thomison. 

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30, at White Hill Cemetery with Gene Brock officiating. Interment will be in White Hill Cemetery, 10433 Rocky River Rd., Rock Island.
