E. J. Roberts, 88, of the Jefferson community of DeKalb County died Tuesday afternoon at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. He was born Sept. 27, 1928 to his parents, the late John Milton and Becky Lou Farless Roberts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four children, Carolyn Ann Roberts, Eugene Roberts, Cecil Roberts, and Brenda Koontz; one stepson, Eddie Neal; one grandson, Daymon Trapp; two brothers, Obie and James Roberts; two sisters, Vina Cleo Vandergriff and Martha Lou McDowell.
