McMinnville resident and Warren County native Edward Lee Priest, 88, was born Nov. 1, 1927 and died Sept. 16 at his residence following a brief illness.A self-employed logger and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late William Marion and Leta Crim Priest. He was married to Phyllis Ann Sullivan Priest, who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Gail Priest of McMinnville, and Ronny and Debbie Priest of McMinnville; four stepchildren and spouses, Tim and Carla Taylor of McMinnville, Stacey and Darrel Bailey of McMinnville, Cary and Ethel Taylor of Dayton, and Debbie Taylor of Dayton; 11 grandchildren and spouses, Jill and Brad Leech, Jamie and Lee Adams, Karyn and Jon Simmons, Joey and Denise Layne, Cole and Hailey Taylor, Ashley and Austin Alexander, Tiffany and Clint Garrett, C.W. Taylor, Bradley Taylor, Deborah Taylor and Gracie Taylor; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
