Edith E. Cummings, 80, a Doyle resident and Warren County native, was born June 9, 1936 and died Feb. 2 in NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness.She was a sewing machine operator, member of the Church of Christ and daughter of the late John T. and Maggie Cunningham Rogers. Mrs. Cummings was married in 1968 to Carl Cummings, who preceded her in death on June 17, 2002. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Everett Rogers and James Rogers; and sister Clara May Freeman.Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Belinda and Robert Wilcoxson of Doyle; grandson, Jesse Lynn Bunch (Jalane Grayson) of McMinnville; great-grandson, Landen Thomas Bunch; special niece, Debby George of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in High’s Chapel with Titus Ward to officiate.
